Bruno Fagundes, 33, the son of Antônio Fagundes, spoke about the attacks he received for using make-up and being too attached to fashion. On the air in “Cara e Coragem” (TV Globo), the actor said that it is time to stop believing because, in addition to hurting, they kill people.
“I like to follow trends. I think I express a little bit of my personality through my clothes and my makeup. It’s about feeling good in your own skin, with your life and your truth. I think it’s high time we get rid of these houses, which not only kill a lot, but kill. They oppress and separate.
Speaking of the soap opera, the actor plays choreographer Renan, who lives in an abusive relationship with Lou (Victoria Bohn). Bruno believes that his character’s argument about machismo is important.
“I play a macho, toxic and violent. He is a man who destroys his partner, destroys the people around him. I think of my work as a social work. I have the many reports from women saying: ‘Damn, my boyfriend has that kind of thing, uses those words…’. I think the author did a great job in researching and expanding this way,” he said.
“In a way, I was able to give some of the strength of this person who turns a person into a victim. We have many messages of thanks like: ‘thank you for helping me to see'”, added the actor.
Bruno shared what it’s like to play a character that soap fans hate: “It’s really crazy to play a character that people hate.
