The Federal Police is starting work to fight cybercrime

Nova Iguaçu / RJ – This Tuesday (20/9), the Federal Police, in collaboration with the IBAMA inspectors, arrested in the act a person who kept 22 birds in captivity, during of an investigation investigating the suspicion that a bird breeder sells fake rings and treats animals without any crimes.

In addition to the birds, more than 200 animals were arrested, with strong signs of involvement, in one of the largest seizures of this species in the history of Rio de Janeiro.

He also caught two boxes with a sound system and a sound system, where the chickens were kept and were given music lessons for singing lessons, so that the birds would be sold later.

Federal police stationed at the Police Station for Repression of Crimes Against the Environment and Historical Heritage (DELEMAPH) and IBAMA inspectors participated in the operation that rescued birds of different species, such as coriós, thrush , thrush and collared thrush. . The birds were sent to IBAMA’s Wild Animal Screening Center (CETAS), so they could be reintroduced into the wild.

The suspect was arrested in flagrante delicto in relation to the crime of falsifying a seal or public sign, provided in the Brazilian Penal Code, and the commission of crimes against animals,​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ has been provided in the Environmental Crimes Law (Law nº. 9.605/98), considering with intent the use of common rings, the improper treatment of animals in of the capture and exploitation of wild species.
